This Refund and Return Policy explains how returns, refunds, exchanges, and authenticity claims are handled for purchases made from Luxyless Oy. This policy is intended for consumer purchases made online or otherwise at a distance. It does not limit any mandatory rights you have under applicable Finnish or EU consumer law. Where this policy gives you more favorable terms than law requires, the more favorable terms apply. Commercial guarantees are voluntary and must not reduce your statutory rights. 

1. Right of return / withdrawal period

If you buy from us online or through another distance-selling channel, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason, in line with Finnish and EU consumer rules. For goods, the 14-day period generally runs from the day you receive the goods; for services, it generally runs from the day the contract is concluded. If the final day falls on a Saturday or public holiday, the deadline extends to the next business day.

You may inspect and try out the product at home in the same way you would in a physical store. Opening packaging, unwrapping the item, or checking its function does not by itself cancel your right of withdrawal. However, if you use the product beyond what is necessary for inspection, you may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by that use.

2. How to cancel your order

To exercise your right of withdrawal, please notify us clearly within the 14-day period. You may do so by email, through your customer account, or by using our contact form. Your cancellation notice should include:

  • your name

  • order number

  • the item(s) you want to return

  • the reason for return, if you wish to share one

  • your preferred contact details

A clear statement that you are cancelling the purchase is enough; you do not need to explain why you are returning the product. Under Finnish guidance, the withdrawal notice is considered received when it reaches the seller’s inbox, is submitted through the online form, or is received through the customer account system.

3. Return conditions

To qualify for a full refund, items should be returned:

  • in the original or equivalent protective packaging where possible

  • with all accessories, manuals, authenticity cards, certificates, and tags

  • clean, intact, and not excessively worn

  • without damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modification

You are welcome to inspect the item, but if the product has been used in a way that goes beyond normal inspection and checking, we may deduct the amount needed to reflect the loss in value, as permitted by consumer rules. If the item is so heavily damaged or altered that it can no longer be resold, a full refund may not be possible. 

4. Return shipping costs

Unless we state otherwise in writing, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the item. However, if Finnish consumer-law information requirements were not properly provided before purchase, the customer may not be required to pay return costs in the situations allowed by law. If we require a specific return method, we will tell you in advance how to use it.

If you choose a delivery method that is more expensive than our standard delivery option, we are not required to refund the extra delivery cost.

5. Refunds

Once we receive your cancellation notice, we will refund all payments received for the returned item without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notice. In practice, we may wait until we have received the goods back, or until you provide proof that you have sent them back. Refunds are made using the same payment method you used for the original purchase, unless we agree otherwise. We do not charge fees for issuing a refund.

If we fail to refund the amount on time, you may be entitled to late-payment interest under applicable rules.

6. Exchanges

If you want a different size, color, or model, the easiest option is usually to return the original item and place a new order. We may also offer an exchange at our discretion, depending on stock availability and product condition. Any exchange offered by us is additional to your mandatory consumer rights and does not reduce them.

7. Defective, incorrect, or damaged items

If an item arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible. In such cases, you may have rights under the statutory liability-for-defects rules, separate from the 14-day withdrawal right. Depending on the circumstances, we may repair, replace, refund, or otherwise resolve the issue in a way that complies with consumer law. A voluntary warranty or guarantee never replaces your statutory defect rights.

8. Money-back authenticity guarantee

We stand behind the authenticity of every eligible product we sell.

If a product is proven not to be authentic, we will provide a full money-back authenticity guarantee. This means that, subject to the rules below, we will refund the purchase price in full. Where appropriate, we may also reimburse reasonable return shipping costs related to the authenticity claim.

This authenticity guarantee applies only to items purchased directly from Luxyless Oy and only to products covered by this guarantee at the time of sale. It is a voluntary commercial guarantee, provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights. It does not limit or replace your legal rights regarding defects, non-conformity, misleading information, or cancellation of purchase. Commercial guarantees must be stated clearly and cannot reduce legal rights.

8.1 What counts as “not authentic”

An item may be treated as not authentic if, after professional review, it is determined not to be a genuine product of the stated brand, manufacturer, or authorized source. Examples can include counterfeit goods, materially altered branded items sold as original, or items with false provenance documentation.

8.2 How to make an authenticity claim

To make a claim under this guarantee, please contact us and include:

  • your order number

  • photos of the item and packaging

  • any certificates, tags, serial numbers, or provenance documents

  • a description of why you believe the item is not authentic

We may request that the item be returned for inspection or that you provide additional evidence. We will review the claim within a reasonable time.

8.3 Evidence and review

We may use internal review, supplier verification, brand verification, expert assessment, or other reasonable methods to confirm authenticity. If the item is confirmed to be non-authentic, we will refund the purchase price. If the item is determined to be authentic, the normal return rules and defect rules continue to apply.

8.4 Refund outcome for authenticity claims

If a claim is approved, the usual outcome is:

  • full refund of the item price

  • refund of standard shipping costs paid for the original order

  • reimbursement of reasonable return costs where applicable

Refunds will be issued using the original payment method unless we agree otherwise.

9. Items not eligible for return under law

Some categories of goods or services may be excluded from the standard 14-day withdrawal right under the law, depending on what was purchased and how it was supplied. Where an item is excluded by law, that legal rule will apply. This policy does not override any mandatory exception or special rule under Finnish or EU consumer law. 

10. Unclaimed parcels and failed deliveries

If a parcel is not collected or is returned to us because of an incorrect address, refusal of delivery, or failure to pick up the shipment, we may contact you to arrange re-delivery or cancellation. Any refund in such cases will be handled according to the applicable return, withdrawal, and shipping-cost rules.

11. Abusive or fraudulent returns

We reserve the right to refuse a refund or withhold part of a refund where the law allows it, for example if an item is returned incomplete, significantly used, damaged by misuse, or returned in a way that prevents resale and the loss in value is attributable to the customer. This does not affect your rights where the item is defective, non-conforming, or not authentic.
