This Shipping Policy explains how orders are processed, dispatched, and delivered by Velenti Oy. It is intended to comply with Finnish and EU consumer rules on distance sales, including the requirement that delivery terms and shipping costs be made clear to customers before purchase.
1. Order processing
We process orders on business days only. Orders placed on business days are normally dispatched within 24 hours of order placement, provided payment has been authorized and the order is not flagged for review. Orders placed on weekends or Finnish public holidays may be processed on the next business day. This processing target is our commercial commitment and may be extended during peak sales periods, inventory checks, or other operational disruptions.
2. Business days
For the purposes of this Policy, “business days” mean Monday to Friday, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and official public holidays in Finland.
3. Delivery time
Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and depend on the shipping method, destination, carrier capacity, and customs handling where applicable. Where no specific delivery date has been agreed, EU consumer rules generally require delivery within 30 days. If delivery is delayed, the consumer normally must give the trader a reasonable additional deadline before cancelling, unless the trader has expressly refused to deliver or another legal exception applies.
4. Shipping methods and costs
Shipping charges are calculated at checkout and depend on the delivery address, parcel size, weight, and the selected shipping method. Any applicable shipping cost will be shown before payment is completed, in line with consumer-information requirements for online stores.
5. Delivery address and customer responsibility
Orders are delivered to the address provided by the customer at checkout. The customer is responsible for entering a complete and accurate delivery address and for ensuring that the parcel can be received or collected where required.
If a parcel is delayed, returned, or not collected because of an incorrect address, refusal of delivery, or failure to pick up the shipment, additional delivery charges may apply for re-shipment.
6. Delays
We make every reasonable effort to dispatch and deliver orders promptly. However, delivery may be delayed by circumstances outside our control, including carrier delays, weather, customs clearance, strikes, operational disruptions, or unusually high order volumes.
If a shipment is delayed, we will provide updated information where reasonably possible. Under Finnish consumer guidance, a customer generally must allow the seller a reasonable extra period to deliver before cancelling for delay, unless cancellation is permitted immediately under the circumstances.
7. Unclaimed or returned shipments
If a parcel is returned to us because it was not collected, the address was incomplete, or delivery was refused, we may contact the customer to arrange redelivery or cancellation. Any refund will be handled according to our Refund and Return Policy and the applicable consumer-law rules.
8. Partial shipments
Where necessary, we may ship an order in more than one parcel. This may happen if items are stored in different locations, are shipped from different warehouses, or become available at different times. Unless otherwise stated, you will not be charged extra shipping fees solely because we split your order.
9. Damaged, missing, or lost parcels
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, appears incomplete, or seems to be lost in transit, please contact us promptly. We will investigate the issue with the carrier and work toward a suitable remedy, which may include replacement, reshipment, or refund depending on the circumstances and your legal rights.
10. International shipping
For deliveries outside Finland, shipping times may be longer and customs processing may cause additional delays. Any import duties, local taxes, or customs fees charged by the destination country are the customer’s responsibility unless we clearly state otherwise before purchase.
11. Consumer rights
Nothing in this Shipping Policy limits the mandatory rights of consumers under Finnish or EU law. If a delivery problem gives rise to a statutory right to cancel, refund, repair, replacement, or compensation, those rights remain available regardless of the terms of this Policy.
